I was in the Marine Corps for 12 years, and after completing my last four-year enlistment, I became a Merchant Marine. I worked aboard navy vessels in the Military Sealift Command for five years, and afterwards attended college in San Diego. I also played two seasons in the Women's Professional Football League as a member of the So Cal Scorpions. I have since earned a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing and an R.N license. I have been writing since high school, and writing has become a necessary skill for me between completing classroom writing assignments and filling out government paperwork.
